MIUI 9 Update | The last update Xiaomi Redmi user will get(Case study)

Xiaomi started rolling out new MIUI ( Global stable ROM update 9) in late September for handsets such as Mi Max 2, Mi Mix 2, and Redmi Note 4.
The new stable MIUI 9 is reported to be more stable and user friendly with some enhanced features, new notification alerts, all new split screen for note series, animated icons, rich photo editing, home screen transition are the main highlights.
As per the latest statement by Xiaomi, this MIUI 9 stable ROM may be the last upgrade some of the handsets are going to have. Users having these phones will not be able to update their ROM further.
It was a tough decision to suspend the further updates of these Smartphones – Xiaomi’s MIUI team updated in the forum post.
However most of the Smartphone, receiving the MIUI Global Beta ROM 7.11 were launched in 2012, almost 5 years back by now. Report says, the Mi Note, Redmi Note 4G, Redmi 2 Prime, Mi 2/2S, Mi 4i, , and Redmi 2 will receive the MIUI 9 as the last stable version.
