Founder of most successful social media platform, Orkut Buyukkokten is planning to re-launch Orkut. according a news published in leading portal who covers tech news. ‘Hello’, a new app based Orkut will be re-launched in India Sooner.

According to reports, a beta version of Orkut is already available to download namely Hello for various Smartphone platform.

Orkut was founded on 24 January 2004 and developed by Orkut Buyukkokten, was one of the first and most popular social networking website available in late 2000s.

Developed as individual project while working at Google, was later on owned by Google and surprisingly it was shut down worldwide to represent the Google Plus Social network. Experts say- “it was not generating the enough revenue to sustain”.

Commenced by Mr Orkut Buyukkokten, he is developing ‘Hello‘ with colleagues and some ex-Google engineers as well.

 THE TEAM OF HELLO HAS NOW GROWN UP TO AROUND 20 ACTIVE MEMBERS WHILE IT ALSO HAS MANY BIG INVESTORS WHICH INCLUDE GOOGLE AS WELL. ALSO, THE COMPANY IS BASED IN SAN FRANCISCO.

 

The social media App and the re-incarnation of Orkut, ‘Hello‘ is currently available in 12 countries worldwide including Canada, Brazil and Zealand. The App is currently available for Andriod and iOS.
