DNS- The Domain Name server, an essential component of the functionality of the Internet. DNS Plays an important role in managing and distributing service on internet. DNS is a set of certain pre-assigned numbers by your ISP-Internet service Provider to connect to WWW. It converts given domain name in form of IP-Internet Protocol address number (usually in form of 000.00.00.00) which is then connected to your ISP, to help to load page over the internet.

In this article we shall learn about different methods to change your default DNS to Google’s DNS to double your Internet speed. This will allow you to get maximum speed and bandwidth.

In Simple word, DNS translates more readily memorized domain names to the numerical IP addresses which is required to locate and identify computer services and devices with the underlying network protocols.

Why Default ISP’s DNS is slower than Google DNS

ISP’s are there to make business by providing internet services. Naturally, they are lured to use as much DNS’S as possible available to ISP. Each time one connects to ISP, they(ISP) assign a dynamic(Random) IP to connect to internet. This causes the slower connection.

On other hand, Google’s DNS servers are hosted at the local data center worldwide, and hence it is easier for Google to send user to closest data center based on their Geographical location. By tracking users location Google re-route the Internet traffic, and Google’s data centers are the best option compared to local ISP.
