Bug on Android devices: Typing ‘the1975..com’ shows personal text messages in Search

The new ‘1975 bug’ on Android phone will reveal all your text message. When you search for “the1975..com” in Google search box, you all text message will be revealed on search result screen.

According to a user on discussion website “Reddit” , typing “the1975..com” the Android device comes with a search result containing text messages on your Android phone(see image below). The double dots between the ‘the1975‘ and ‘com’ is not a typing mistake but it’s a bug, which works only if types as “the1975..com.

Reports say that it’s not a bug but a permission breach with the Android phone from LG, OnePlus, Samsung  Hawaei and Redmi.

When you type ‘the1975..com‘ in the Google app on Android it will display the text messages within the app, especially in Google instant search bar. However, the messages are displayed only if user have given access permissions to Google Apps.

Google has not yet made any statement regarding the ‘ther1975..com‘ bug.

A report published in Local newspaper regarding the “the1975..com”  it’s not a bug but the permission error with Google Assistant and Google app

according to a Quora use :It looks like something in the syntax is tricking it into thinking that you’re issuing the “show me my text messages” command.

However it is unclear what’s causing this glitch. Google is aware and are working on a fix.
